2022 Labor Day Festival & Tailgate

SCHEDULE: 
3-6:30 p.m. Food
6-6:30 p.m. – Program & Raffle
7 p.m. Event Ends, head to Valley Children’s Stadium for football game

PARKING: Parking for the tailgate & game is in the green areas detailed in the map below on Page 3. Parking costs $10 in advance and can be purchased online here. The parking ticket will be delivered to your smart phone. We highly advise purchasing your parking in advance. On gameday, parking will cost $20 and cash & card will be accepted. There will be no eastbound traffic on Barstow Avenue after 4:30 p.m.  All eastbound traffic will be blocked to allow for pedestrians and shuttles. Please plan accordingly.

CHECK IN: Guests will check-in with Violet Grimaldo at the Labor Day Festival & Tailgate event booth located at the northeast corner of the tailgate area. Upon check-in, guests will receive their wristband for food & drinks, and exchange vouchers for game tickets.

TICKETS: Please connect with your union representative about your event tickets. If you have received a game voucher, they must be exchanged at our event booth for a real game ticket to enter the stadium. Vouchers will not get you into the stadium, and will not be accepted at the Fresno State Athletics Box Office.

FOOD: The tailgate menu will consist of 100% beef hot dogs, hamburgers, fresh fruit, two cold salads, chips and ice cream. Drinks will consist of water, aguas frescas, and Union-made beer from Anchor Brewing. Must be 21+ with proof of ID to consume alcohol.

RAFFLE: The raffle will be open until 6 p.m., and winners must be present to claim their prize, if the holder of the matching number is not in attendance, a different ticket will be drawn. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each, or 25 tickets for $20.

SEATING: We will have seating available for about 450 guests to eat, as well as plenty of standing room at cocktail tables under the shade. Please feel encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket if you wish to sit on the grass under the trees, or use to cover your seats at the park and inside the stadium.

WEATHER: Cooler weather is in the forecast with cloudy skies and a high of 92 on Saturday. By 7:30 p.m. kickoff, temperatures are expected to drop to 87.

ADA ACCESSIBLE PARKING: Parking placard and/or state issue permit holders may park in designated spaces on a first-come, first-served basis.

SHUTTLES: A free shuttle bus will be available to transport guests to Valley Children’s Stadium. The service will start running at 5:30 p.m., up until the end of the 1st quarter. The shuttle bus will also return fans to the green parking lots starting at the end of the 3rd quarter, and run until 1-hour after the game. A shuttle stop will be located in front of the Labor Day Festival & Tailgate area, along Barstow Ave.

STADIUM POLICIES: A complete list of Valley Children’s Stadium policies can be found here. The stadium will be enforcing a Clear-Bag Policy. Please plan accordingly.
